Tyre walls imprinted white, pastel turquoise wheel rims with Mercedes-Benz star painted silver. Ornamental strips and handles on the doors as well as Mercedes-Benz star on the boot and "220S" type lettering painted silver. Headlamps transparent and tail lights red transparent inserts.

The bearing bars on the rear set the Mercedes-Benz 220 S apart and allowed the designers to settle a score with the pontoon shape of the post-war years.
