About InterCity Trains and Hobbies

Welcome to InterCity Trains and Hobbies
InterCity Trains and Hobbies is a model railroad specialty store located in Langley, British Columbia, serving customers in-person and online throughout Canada and world.

Founded by lifelong model railroaders Chris Campbell and Ken Koch—who took over the inventory of the beloved Central Hobbies after Hal Kinsey's retirement—our store is truly a family affair. Today, our team includes Ken and Chris’s families alongside experienced veteran hobby staff. Stop by and say hi to Hal, who still helps out a few afternoons each week.

A Bigger Space!  We recently upgraded from our original 2,000 sq. ft. location to a 5,500 sq. ft. showroom in the same mall. We stock all the product lines from Central Hobbies and have expanded our rolling stock and scenery inventory, featuring North American and European manufacturers like Märklin/Trix, Faller, Noch, and Roco/Fleischmann.

The new store features multiple working HO and N scale layouts, a multi-scale test track with leading analog and DCC controllers and our repair and DCC installation staff now have an expanded, dedicated workshop and service counter. We are starting monthly NMRA modelling nights in Fall 2026 and hope to begin a new series of workshops and seminars soon.

Unlike many other shops in industrial areas or out-of-the-way locations, we are located just minutes from Highway 1 and beside the Golden Ears bridge in an accessible retail mall (with food options on-site and a great pub right across the street).
