Regionalverkehr Mittelland (RM), whose freight division later became Crossrail, owned five powerful locomotives, namely Re 4/4 III and Re 436. At the time, the Re 436 114 was fitted with a full-body advertisement for Stahl Gerlafingen and retained this design for many years, long after leaving the Mittelland region.
