Description

Electric locomotive 140 423 of the Deutsche Bahn.

• Version with rounded engine room windows
• Modernised grab rails on the entrance doors
• In digital operation with switchable shunting light and switchable headlight/tail light

The 140 423 electric locomotive is a prime example of the tried-and-tested 140 series of standard locomotives and is now part of the DB Museum's collection. Built by Henschel in 1966, it is presented in classic Federal Railway livery and is reminiscent of a time when reliability and technical robustness characterized the German railways. The 140 423 is a piece of railway history that lives on, a special one-off that has been a popular photo subject for many years.
