The electric locomotive Class 145 was developed from the late 1990s onwards by ADtranz (later Bombardier Transportation) for freight transport in Germany. It is part of the first generation of the modular TRAXX platform.
TRI's 145 040-2 corresponds to the early TRAXX F140 AC1. Initially used by DB Cargo, it was later fitted with the "local transport package" for Expo 2000 services. From 2018, it was part of the RBH fleet and was sold to TRI in 2024. Since 2025, the locomotive has been used to haul TRI's passenger trains in TRI livery.
