The Dutch State Railways procured 2-axle shunting diesel locomotives from the manufacturer Werkspoor between 1934 and 1951, with a series also supplied by CW Zwolle. A total of 169 units were built across several series, each with slightly different designs. Due to their distinctive exhaust noise, they have become known as ‘Sikken' or ‘Sik' - the singular form of ‘goat' - among railway workers and enthusiasts.
The model has limited compatibility with analogue controllers.
