Description
Scale Size
Our N-Possible couplers are scale-sized N scale couplers. That means no more "boxing gloves" overpowering your finely detailed models.
Reliable Operation
Good looks mean nothing if the couplers don't do their job of reliably coupling cars. N-Possible couplers out-perform other knuckle style couplers by every metric.
Easy Installation
You can't take advantage of the N-Possible coupler if they're not easy to use. A range of shank lengths and mounting options makes adopting the N-Possible easy.
The N-Possible Coupler Lineup
The N-Possible is available in two formats and multiple lengths. The URS series is for installation in existing coupler boxes while the SBX series includes replacement coupler boxes for more custom installation needs.
N-Possible coupler features realized by the Patent Pending N-Possible spring mechanism:
- Precise Scale Design: Enhance authenticity with a meticulously detailed prototypical appearance. Compatible with other scale designs but not conventional couplers.
- Ultra-Low Force Automatic Coupling: Experience reliable scale-speed switching with minimal coupling force and easy pick uncoupling.
- Easy Installation: The retained spring design simplifies installation into car integrated boxes.
- Slip-Resistant Performance: Stays connected on uneven trackwork, maintaining reliability.
- Reliable Alignment: Dependable reverse movements and DPU/helper operation.
- Versatile Shank Lengths: Three shank lengths for prototypically accurate coupler configurations.
- Various Versions Available: Choose spring-mounted versions or kits.
- No Slinky Effect: Eliminates the “slinky” effect for a realistic look
The URS series of universal retrofit couplers version fit into existing boxes that have a central pivot post. It doesn't matter if the box is a separate part, or integrated into the model.
Factory applications of MTL/Clones, Accumate, McHenry, Bachmann, Scaletrains and BLI among others will all accept an N-Possible URS series coupler.
The Patent Pending N-Possible design is the most adaptable coupler mechanism on the market. The retained spring design also radically simplifies installation relative to traditional metal spring coupler designs.
It’s also desirable to use URS couplers rather than the SBX for locomotive conversions; Locomotives typically have a separate "1015" type box that is more appropriate then the SBX style box.
If you are looking to convert separately mounted boxes on rolling stock, or perform truck mount to body mount conversions, the SBX series of couplers with a factory supplied box might be a better fit.
