Description

Prototype: An express train passenger car set comprising the following four cars of different types for the "D 74" express train. 1 type PwPost4ü four-axle baggage and mail car. 1 type ABC4ü four-axle seating car 1st/2nd/3rd class (standard design 1928-30). 1 DSG type WLAB4ü(e) four-axle "Schürzen" sleeping car. 1 type BC4üwe four-axle skirted passenger car, 2nd/3rd class. Train route: D 74 Hamburg Altona - Basel SBB, for the Frankfurt/Basel SBB section of the route. German Federal Railroad (DB) and German Sleeper and Dining Car Company (DSG). The cars look as they did around 1955.

Model: The cars have detailed construction and are full-scale in length. The minimum radius for operation is 360 mm / 14-3/16". All cars have factory-installed interior lighting with warm white LEDs and buffer capacitors. Type ABC4ü express train passenger car, 1st/2nd/3rd class, with a pickup shoe for current pickup supplies power to the entire car consist via the factory-installed current-conducting close coupler heads. The cars must be coupled in a defined sequence for this. Type PwPost4ü baggage and mail car with current-conducting close coupler at the baggage compartment end; the mail compartment end facing the loco has a normal close coupler head for a low buffer height. All other cars are equipped with current-conducting close coupler heads. Short replacement corridor connections are included. There are imprinted train route signs and running numbers. A concertina fold shows an illustration of the complete train and the prototypical arrangement of the individual cars in the train consist. Total length over buffers approximately 103 cm / 40-1/2".
