The 120 145 belongs to the pioneering DB Class 120, the world's first series-produced three-phase electric locomotive class. Introduced into service in the late 1980s, the locomotive was a hallmark of the Deutsche Bahn's high-quality long-distance services for many years and paved the way for the development of modern three-phase electric locomotives. Since 2019, the locomotive has been part of the Widmer Rail Services (WRS) fleet. In its distinctive ultramarine blue livery, it is used for special services, transfer runs and freight transport.
