Description
If required, SwitchPilot can be augmented with the SwitchPilot Extension Modul: Plugged in at the side of the SwitchPilot, it offers four relay-driven outputs, used for switching potential-free loads, or for polarizing the frog; the ideal supplement for tricky circuitry.
Modes of operation
The SwitchPilot Extension Modul only works in conjunction with a SwitchPilot. Plugged in at the side, it gets its electrical power directly from the SwitchPilot. It contains a total of 4 Twin-Relays (2 x DPDT), of which each is dedicated to a pair of transistorized SwitchPilot outputs.
The respective relay’s switch position is directly dependent upon the state of this pair of outputs. With the relay’s help, loads can be switched, galvanically separated from the rest of the track (it functions like a k84), or a motorized turnout can be polarized.
With the relay’s 1.5 Amp continuous rating, either frogs can be polarized-, or blocks powered signal dependent, or motorized devices, such as (water) pumps may be switched. Especially intricate is the option to control motorized turnouts: Of course the SwitchPilot Extension Module easily handles the necessary motor polarization as well.
