Munich-based Lokomotion has been operating transalpine freight for more than twenty years. Since then, it has become known among railway enthusiasts for its diverse fleet of "zebra" locomotives, whether on the Brenner axis to Italy or the Tauern route to Slovenia as well as the Danube axis towards Eastern Europe. Lokomotion provides the transport services in close cooperation with DB Cargo and Italian Rail Traction Company, which hold shares in the Munich-based company. The blue stripes stand for Bavaria and the red stripes for South Tyrol.
