Description
This Broadway Limited HO Scale EMD SD70ACe is a model of a widely used prototype which features a die cast metal body for maximum weight and tractive effort. The EMD's SD70ACe is the successor to the SD70MAC, with design changes implemented to comply with updated emission standards. The SD70ACe is equipped with EMD's 4,300 horsepower, 16-710-G32-T2 prime mover, and is typically equipped with a Nathan K5LLA horn. These locomotives can be found in service all over the world, as EMD has sold well over 2,000 of the ACe's and variants. This Stealth Series no-sound/DCC-ready model operates on DC out of the box, or you can easily install their DCC decoder of choice. Stealth Series models are DCC-ready with a standard MTC21 pin on the DC motherboard. Out of the box, front and rear lights are directional, and other lights are always ON with track power. Additionally, some lighting functions may be missing depending on you choice of aftermarket decoder. It also features a built-in speaker so you won't have to add one later. Other features include a heavy die cast chassis and select roadname-specific details. Its wheels are profiled to operate on Code 70 and larger rail and curves of 18" radius but larger curves are recommended.
