Description
This Bachmann Siemens ACS-64 Electric with sound and DCC captures the burly looks of the high-speed prototype. Used on Amtrak's electrified Northeast Corridor, these units keep hard at work for Amtrak hauling its regional trains and for commuter operators SEPTA and MARC handling commuter runs on the same lines. This sound and DCC sound-equipped model features the SoundTraxx(R) Sound Value sound package that includes prototypical horn, bell, cooling fan/power inverter, pantograph extension and retraction, coupler close/release, brake release and application, momentum, crew alert, grade crossing quill, departing and arriving station announcements, and more - all in 16-bit polyphonic sound. This Siemens ACS-64 Electric features a heavy die cast frame, detailed cab interior, numerous applied details, working lighting and E-Z Mate(R) Mark II knuckle couplers. The ACS-64 also has a selector switch for choosing between standard two-rail power collection and overhead catenary power collection. 22" and larger radius curves are recommended for best performance.
