Between 1929 and 1930, various builders such as Canadian Car \u0026amp; Foundry, Eastern Car Company, and National Steel Car Corporation built 7,500 50-ton steel Minibox boxcars for the Canadian Pacific Railway. The Minibox was somewhat of a transition between the later version of the ARA 1923 and ARA 1932 design boxcar. Lasting in revenue freight service until 1983, these unique boxcars were mostly scrapped, however a few were sold to Pacific Great Eastern, and later used as maintenance cars. The remaining cars that were not sold were used for various non-revenue maintenance tasks, like icicle breaking, tool cars, and storage until 1993. This model features a detailed injection-molded body, appropriate roller-bearing trucks with free-rolling metal wheelsets and AccuMate(R) magnetic knuckle couplers. The 40' Minibox Boxcar is one of many Atlas HO Scale boxcars.","brand":"Atlas","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":52029686087960,"sku":"IC-150-20007900","price":53.95,"currency_code":"CAD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0753\/7023\/4136\/files\/atlas-ho-20007900-40-minibox-boxcar-master-r-canadian-pacific-243306-red-stepped-lettering-freight-cars-514.jpg?v=1778979951","url":"https:\/\/ictrainsandhobbies.com\/products\/atlas-ho-20007900-40-minibox-boxcar-masterr-canadian-pacific-243306-boxcar-red-stepped-lettering","provider":"InterCity Trains and Hobbies","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
